This course offers contemplative tools for deepening professional skills and competencies in listening and responding to patients and clients. Research reveals ongoing contemplative practices including mindfulness or meditation can also improve attention and memory, increase compassionate responses, reduce stress, increase confidence in challenging situations and renew enthusiasm. Students learn these practical resources that help foster a greater sense of self-awareness, well-being, and prevent burnout.
